Park Geun-hye and the ferry disaster

-Written by R. K. (age 13)

The tragic disaster happened around a week ago. 476 people (mostly high school students on a school trip) were on the sinking ferry boat. Around 64 people have been found dead and around 240 are still missing. South Korean president Park Geun-hye describes this as a tragic, painful disaster- well, why doesn’t she do something about ...it?

Apparently there is not enough money. Surely she could fish out a few pennies to help save as many lives as possible -or does she need that money to keep up her 30 ‘official ‘houses? Most of which she hasn’t even gone to. I wonder how many ‘un official’ houses she has. She is putting all the blame on the captain and the crew- she is using them as scapegoats and diverting the blame aimed at officials from grieved parents.

She is playing a game to see how rich and powerful she can get in her time of being a president without even thinking about the well being of the people of South Korea.

As the parents who have lost their young children beg for help to find survives Park Geun-hye thinks of more excuses to put the blame on someone else. Anyone who argues with her is called a communist. Just like Lee Myung-bak she steals the money from the poor and gives it to the rich.

She doesn’t even want to investigate why the life boats were not working. She obviously feels no responsibility for the safety of South Korean people; she doesn’t care as long as she is a billionaire
